Eclipse and theology There was a partial solar eclipse on Aug. 1. In an April 30 WorldNetDaily. com article, Joe Kovacs tells how this eclipse is exciting news for Bible-believing Christians and Jews. During the seven-year 2008-2015 Biblical Sabbatical-Cycle, the solar / lunar eclipses coincide with Jewish Holydays. This eclipse-cycle has happened three times previously: 1493, the Spanish Inquisition; 1948 / 49, Nation of Israel reestablished; and 1967, Jerusalem returned to Israel.

Many students of Biblical prophecy believe the prophet Daniel's "Seventieth Week"will be a sabbatical-cycle called the Week-of-Woes or the Tribulation in the book of Revelation. Pastor Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries, who studied NASA's eclipse website and discovered that the eclipse occur on Holydays, said," When I talk about the second coming I am not referring to the rapture but to Messiah's feet landing on the Mt. of Olives in Zech 14. I am not setting dates for the rapture. The only dates I am giving is the dates NASA gives us for eclipses and the dates God gives us on His calendar, and then I bring in the connection."

"You can do whatever you want according to your own theology with this information. I did say if these eclipses in 2015 are what the Lord was referring to, then 2015 would look like a possible year for His feet to land on the Mt. of Olives. And, if this is true then the tribulation could, not would, start this fall at the Feast of Trumpets, (which technically is two days long: But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only ). In light of all the prophetic events going on, I would say it is likely but I'm not saying definitely. As far as the rapture, if you're pre-Trib then 2008 could be interesting, if you're mid-Trib, 2012 could be interesting, if you're pre-Wrath then 2014 might be interesting, if you're a post-Tribber then 2015 might be interesting and if you're a millennial just sit back and watch the show !"

Jesus said that the signs of His return would be wars, famines, earthquakes, floods, darkening of the sun and moon, etc. "When these things begin to happen, look up … because your redemption draws near. "Are we in such a scenario ? Will war between Israel and Iran begin this year ? Could the eclipses mark the final seven years of this age ?

All who repent and receive Jesus as Lord / Messiah will enjoy the Kingdom of God forever ! All who reject citizenship in God's Kingdom will experience his wrath. ALAN MERRITT Rogers, Ark. Where's honor ?

Recently a young man learned that honor is not always rewarded.

On a shopping trip to Best Buy in Fayetteville on Tuesday, July 29, Zane Salazar, 15, of Senora, was honest. Although not rewarded, his family is proud of him.

Salazar's aunt took him to Best Buy and waited in the car while he did his shopping. After completing his shopping, Salazar was walking out of the store, he found two $ 20 laying on the ground right by the door. He picked it up and took it to the office of the store.

Later, Salazar's aunt called the store management to tell them if the owner was not found, could the money be given to Salazar to reward his honesty. She was told that a businessman from the area's largest retailer had come into the store within five minutes of the money being turned in to report loosing the cash. When asked by Best Buy employees if he wanted to reward the boy's honesty, he replied "no."

Regardless of the outcome, we're proud of Salazar. RUBY GEORGE Senora, Ark.
